1000 Grand Lakes is the organization comprising all communities inside of Itasca County, Minnesota. It was formed to help boost tourism in the region.

Over 1400 lakes comprise 1000 Grand Lakes prime for fishing, kayaking and water sports. Pokegama Lake, Bass Lake, Deer Lake, Bowstring Lake, Rice Lake, Wabana Lake, Cut Foot Sioux Lake are just some of the popular lakes that attract year-round visitors.
